Sometimes We Forget Too Look UP!

When I go for a walk...I am usually looking DOWN.
Down into DITCHES to see what I can see.
Down at my FEET so I don't WALK into a DITCH, which I have...but that is another story and I am sure...Bill can tell it MUCH better than ME!

But on my WAY BACK from my walk...I try and LOOK UP!
And I am ALWAYS AMAZED!

The BLACK SHADOWS of the tree was
BEAUTIFUL against the
BLUE Bishops Head SKY!

Again, the BLACK against the BLUE
These Pines were swaying
just like they were waving at me.

Can YOU believe that BLUE?

These PINES were LOADED with Pine Cones
up TOP!

LOADED!

And NOW for the REST of the Story

Hi Bonnie,

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Welsh_Dragon

The truth on the dragon on the sign post is that Tanya's Mom's family
originally hails from the tiny island nation of Wales, and the dragon is
what's known as a Welsh Dragon.

Tanya's father was the last one living at the house who had a boat. Its
still down there somewhere's: a draketail workboat named the "Tanya Lynne".
Watermen never change the name of a boat. I think that's a worse omen than
painting it blue.

One year when Tanya's mom still lived down there and we
were down for a visit we were driving past the marina in Wingate and she was
up on blocks as they sanded and painted to hull. I took some photos of the
boat and Tanya together, that's way back in the film days though. It would
take me a month of sundays to find those pictures.

Hope all is well with you.

A Walk Down the Lane

They call the section of the
Wingate Bishops Head Road that I live on..
THE LANE!

Here I am standing at the TOP of the LANE
Looking down toward my house

This is a reflection I took of the sun
in a HIGH TIDE DITCH

This little building use to be
the POST OFFICE

A neighbors hand-carved post of a DRAGON
it had something to do with the name of his boat
of course he and the boat are long gone

Just walking by

A lot of BIRD HOUSES down here
I must admit I have a FEW TOO!

Love that BLUE SKY against the
RED, WHITE and BLUE

I liked the BLUE SKY color of the day

My SWAMP BOOTS

The Tide going out

An ANCIENT Persimmon Tree

High Tides Today

My house is looking good...no tide...YET!
My ditches are holding!

Not so my neighbors
